  How would you spend your time?

  let's say it was revealed via the media and scientific community that a planet wide catastrophe such as a large comet or asteroid impact or even a brush with a large planetary body or black hole was emminant and that it was certain to devistate the planet in say 18 months.

  how would you spend the remaining time?

  if the event was considered possibly survivable by maybe a few million what action, if any would you take?

  Non NWT use in Public Talks

  i am sure that when i gave talks, although the nwt was always the main bible used, other translations could be used to make a point.. the elders recived a letter dated may10th 2011 re:public speakers and it stated under the subheading "reading from scriptures".

  scriptures should be read by the speaker rather than requesting a volunteer from the audience.

  the new world translation should be used, if available.

  One good comment for someone to make at the meeting would be how before 1975 apostacy was hardly mentioned but after 1975 apostacy has been mentioned over 500 in WT literature.

  Iquit this was the study article in the Kool-aide edition.

  Oracle you hit the nail on the head thats exactly what it was about.

  In truth I feel its impact was lost on most there. The die hards ate it up but the common JW just going thru the motion I dont think they cared.

  Looking thru this post reminded me of a lot of friends who moved on.

  I cant remember the exact reason why Nvr stopped posting but basically he moved on nothing major.

  Bumping this to share my new favorite and pretty much the only cigar I want to smoke...I give you the Acid Kuba Kuba!

  

  I avoided acid's for the longest based on Frank 75 thoughts on the acid nasty's. I always pictured them as well acidic and nasty.

  The Kuba Kuba and its little brother the blondie are great smokes. I have a pic of me along with my 2 best friends smoking a kuba kuba I wish I could share.

  Ive also enjoyed the acid deep dish and recently purchased a ming dynasty that is now sitting in my humidor waiting for the right occasion...namely when I buy a bottle of aberlour 35 to pair it with.

  I went to my first Hypnotist show last night. I was amazed at how much it was like JW’s

  ok i was a born in and never watched or touched anything to do with hypnotist's as we are told to avoid them at all costs and i always followed all the rules to the letter.. so yesterday we have the county fair going on and they have this hypnotist show so i went to it.

  the hypnotist called up about 15 people on stage and tried to put them under.

  about five of them he just could not put them under so that left about ten people on stage.. of those ten the hypnotist could do almost anything to them, it looked like it was staged expect one of the young women had been sitting right by me and her friends were right next to me, so it did seem legit.. the hypnotist had them fall asleep and when they were in that state he would tell them that when they woke up they would react to key words he had said to them or when he touched his face a cretin way.. it sort of freaked me out because it was like how i was in the religion.

  Lits yes it is hard to believe especially if you were born in.

  Until I read that article it never occured to me that ALL of the kingom songs were soft lulibys. Not one vigorous stiring march type song.

  Thats why I believe they push for new recruits to come to the meetings so tough cause thats where the real conditioning takes place.
